Free To Love

Galatians

In this portion of Galatians, Paul details the conflict going on between our sinful nature and the Spirit. This battle is not just a warring between the kingdom of this world and the Kingdom of God; it's a matter of where our identity lies. When we are born of the Spirit, our motivations and the power that governs our life comes from our Heavenly Father. When we become children of God, we are enabled and empowered to live each day by the Spirit. This is freedom from the law and freedom from the bondage of sin. This is freedom to love God and love others as God created us to love. This is freedom to Love Big!

From Series: "Galatians"

You've probably all heard it said, "If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is." A deal or an offer pops up and we feel like we've just been given an incredible offer of a lifetime...for about 15 seconds. Then something in our gut says, "Wait a second, that seems too good to be true...". And more times than not, we're exactly right. We begin our new summer sermon series: "By Grace Alone", a study of the book of Galatians. From the very beginning of the book, Paul calls out the people for "following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News." (1:7). Because being saved by grace (alone) through faith seemed too good to be true, the people couldn't believe it. How about you?
