Cost of Belonging

Belong

No one wants to be alone, at least not forever. Regardless of personal temperament and preference (introvert or extrovert), we were created for relationship with God and relationship with one another. Biblical community looks different than the world’s community because it grows from the sacrificial love and life demonstrated by our savior Jesus. When we see glimpses of true community, it inspires and challenges us to be more like Jesus. Belonging to the body of Christ is way, way more than a remedy to our loneliness. It's a wonderful invitation to love big and serve others. But it also comes with a cost.

Belong. At some point in our lives, many of us have felt like we don't belong. Perhaps many of us currently feel that way. And in a church the size of Grace Covenant, it can sometimes feel a bit difficult to belong. As we open our our new "Belong" sermon series this Sunday, we will spend the next 5 weeks looking at what it means to belong to a community of believers. God never intended for any of us to live this Christian life alone. He is a God of relationship and in relationship and He desires the same to be true of us as His followers. Come join us on Sunday as we kick off this series!
