Galatians

"Oh foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you?" Paul's second untampered rebuke of the Galatians is neither gentle nor without merit. The stakes are high as the very family called to make a way for all to enter into God's plan for salvation are now the very ones blocking the road. Paul uncompromisingly contends that we cannot add to the gospel through our flesh and holding to the law. He fights for the truth that what we've received through faith as a gift of grace and through the Spirit can only be maintained through the same means.

From Series: "Galatians"

You've probably all heard it said, "If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is." A deal or an offer pops up and we feel like we've just been given an incredible offer of a lifetime...for about 15 seconds. Then something in our gut says, "Wait a second, that seems too good to be true...". And more times than not, we're exactly right. We begin our new summer sermon series: "By Grace Alone", a study of the book of Galatians. From the very beginning of the book, Paul calls out the people for "following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News." (1:7). Because being saved by grace (alone) through faith seemed too good to be true, the people couldn't believe it. How about you?
