Jericho was the gateway city into the promised land and was heavily fortified by seemingly indestructible walls. When the Lord spoke to Joshua (see verse above), the walls were still standing tall and strong. It is through the eyes of faith that we have access to God’s plans, God’s provision, and ultimately God’s victory.
