Bert was born and raised in Tennessee. After graduating from UVA in 1986, Bert and his wife Jane moved to Harrisonburg and immediately started attending Grace Covenant Church. Bert has two grown children and a rascal “Westie” named Chumley. Before becoming a full time pastor in 2007, he worked as an engineer, primarily supporting local manufacturing operations. “Love Big, Grow Deep, and Go Out”… what a great place to be!
