We believe that only through the forgiveness for our sins can our relationship with God be restored so we may receive eternal life (salvation). We must believe, by faith, in who Jesus Christ is and decide to stop living for ourselves and instead serve Him (repent). We believe that salvation is based solely on Christ’s work on the cross and His grace; not on anything we have done or can do. It is a free gift of God! (John 3:3; John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:13; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Wondering what the next step to take is in order to be saved? Romans 10:9 tells us, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” If you are ready to receive salvation, simply pray this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do Your will. In Your name, Amen.

Water Baptism symbolizes the cleansing we receive when we turn from our own way and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. It is an outward act of obedience that allows a believer to communicate to the world their heart-felt commitment to follow Christ. Jesus was baptized and tells all believers to do the same (Mark 1:9, Matthew 28:19-20). Water baptism illustrates Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection and therefore is not only significant to the individual, but it reminds the whole church the redemptive work of Christ.
At Grace, we offer baptisms for those who have made a confession of faith and have the maturity and ability to articulate that faith. We have found that this capacity begins to develop around age 7 and for this reason, we politely reserve baptisms for those age 7 or older.
