Rocktown Youth is made up of the middle and high school youth ministries of Grace Covenant Church in Harrisonburg, VA.
The name comes from Matthew 7:24-25, which says: Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall because it had been founded on the rock.
Our mission statement is simple: to create a fun atmosphere built upon the Word of God for the youth of GCC to gather, grow, and go. This ministry creates a safe place for youth in 6th-12th grade to cultivate community, grow deep in a relationship with Jesus, have opportunities to go out to serve our city and world and be empowered to share the gospel locally and globally.
Rocktown Middle (6-8th) meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday mornings after congregational worship during the first and second services. Once a month, we meet on a Wednesday evening for a night of fun. Follow our social media to stay in the loop!
Rocktown High (9-12th) meets on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm in the GCC pavilion. Come hang out, worship, serve, and have with us!
