Moses led God’s people out of slavery in Egypt and then Joshua was tasked with leading them into their promised land. Repeatedly God commands Joshua to “be strong and courageous” and points to faithful meditation on scripture as the key to his success. The Word of God is perfect, timeless, and powerfully transformative and continues to serve as an anchor for our souls and a source of our strength.
