I Am More Than Enough
We sing about it, we rehearse it to ourselves, we encourage others with it: God is enough! We say it so often in our Christian circles that its truth can often fall flat in our ears and fails to transform our souls. Do we really believe that God is more than enough, or do we settle for Him being just enough, almost enough, or perhaps not quite enough? In the passages listed below, Paul appeals that God doesn't merely make up for our deficit, but instead tempts us to be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians), towards a righteousness not of our own (Philippians), unto one who is able to do far more abundantly than all we could ask or imagine (Ephesians) and that He is completely sufficient (2 Corinthians). Paul is wooing us into the rich reality of the gospel – that He (really is) more than enough!
