Have you ever had a “light bulb moment”? A moment where everything suddenly becomes clear, where everything suddenly makes sense? The 8th Century BC prophet Isaiah prophesied the greatest “light bulb moment” the world had seen since creation. He delivered God’s promise that a new light, a new kingdom, was on its way. A new ruler was coming to the earth who was God himself! God him-self would deliver His people and serve them as a counselor, a father, a prince. Over 2,000 years later we look back and see the fulfilment of this promise. Broken as we are, shattered as the world is around us, we wake up every day to the good news that there is a very real God who is somehow living among us; a God who speaks to us; who rules the earth with justice and peace; a God whose Kingdom will never stop its expansion!
