Names are important because they tell the stories of a person’s life, they bring the culture and history of a person with them. Long after you die, your name will tell a story. This week we begin a new sermon series called “I Am” and we’ll be reviewing the 7 “I am” statements of Jesus that describe his nature, beginning with God’s self-definition to Moses as “I Am” or “I Will Be Who I Will Be”. These names and descriptions will help us better know Jesus and as a result, better know ourselves as the people of Jesus.
