Many of us know from experience that the best vegetables & fruits are grown locally. They tend to be fresher & healthier. They contain no GMOs and no additives or preservatives are added to them because they're not traveling thousands of miles to distant supermarkets.
The Holy Spirit is given to each of us who follow Jesus; and the Holy Spirit promises to fill us and empower us (Acts 1:8). The Holy Spirit gives us amazing gifts (1 Corinthians 12) and promises to produce fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22). The Holy Spirit lives in us and produces good fruit in us! Talk about locally grown! You can’t get closer to the source than “in you”!! So, how is it growing with you?
Locally Grown. Welcome to our new sermon series where we will teach on each of the fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23. Love. Joy. Peace, Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-Control. Could our world not use a little (a lot!) more of all of these right now?? As we allow the Holy Spirit full access to our lives, all of this fruit grows in us (doesn't get more local than that!) and then flows out of us. What's the condition of your fruit lately?
