Acts 12 contains tragedy, triumph, and a little comedy. It is a picture of normal Christian life. Miracles are mixed with deep disappointments; dark nights are followed by bright days; and even in our despair, flashes of joy relieve our souls. The early church models for us how to move forward in our lowest moments and not get stuck in the tensions of life.
