Christmas is the celebration of God coming to earth. God put on “flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood” (The Message Bible). You would think that would cause quite a stir, but most people ignored his arrival. Most people missed it because an infant God born to an average couple in an average home in an average town was not what they expected. This Advent season (the 4-weeks leading up to Christmas), we are considering the wonder of this story and the waiting and believing it takes in order to see the fulfillment of God's promises.
